1916 Buffalo Nickel graded About Good 3 by PCGS. PCGS designated Cherry Picker variety DDOFS-101 (FS-016). Double Die Obverse shows in the feathers. The date is not visible. Excellent detail, excellent condition, a very beautiful coin.

1916 Double Die Obverse Buffalo Nickel, The KEY to the series, nearly impossible to find! Extremely nice coin, I don't have to tell you these are next to impossible to locate in ANY condition, but this one is an affordable alternative to complete your collection. This one has been encapsulated by NCS (NGC) as "Good details, improperly cleaned". It does have what look like old hairlines on the obverse you can see with magnification, I have seen a lot worse - it looks MUCH better in hand than in the photo. I would say it has a minor cleaning compared to other coins I have seen with this designation. Great separation on the double date, clearly visible.
